Conference Venue

The venue for ISPS 2024 is Dipoli, the main building of Aalto University.

This unique building was the first joint design project by architects Raili and Reima Pietilä in 1966 and re-opened completely renovated in 2017.

Dipoli is located in Espoo and easily accessible from Helsinki city centre by metro. Distance to Helsinki-Vantaa International Airport is 25 km.

The hotels closest to the venue are Radisson Espoo and Heymo1.

In addition to the main venue Dipoli, some of the sessions take place at the Aalto University Undergraduate Centre at Otakaari 1 (see map).

Helsinki Metropolitan Area and Finland

The Helsinki Metropolitan area which includes the nearby cities of Vantaa and Espoo, is the largest urban concentration in Finland, with a population in the region of one million. Finland’s capital, Helsinki, is the country’s busiest port, and stretches across a number of Baltic islands and peninsulas, while the suburbs spread out into the surrounding forests.
