Booking a room

What's the difference between a single room and a double room?

A single room is for one person only. It includes one bed and one breakfast. Double room is for two persons, and includes two beds (a joint double bed or two separate beds) and two breakfasts. 

Can I request an extra bed in my room and will there be extra costs?

You can request an extra bed, but please note:

  • Added costs, if any, are not included in the reservation price.
  • During booking, please include your request in the Special Requests box.

How do I know my reservation is confirmed?

Upon completion of the booking process, a confirmation page will appear. You will receive a confirmation e-mail, which will include your reservation details.

I have booked a hotel but I did not receive a confirmation by e-mail. What should I do?

Please check your inbox and the spam/junk folders for the e-mail address you provided upon booking. If you need assistance, please contact us at confedent.eaie19@confedent.fi 

Can I book a hotel that allows smoking in the room?

Most hotels in Finland are non-smoking only. During booking, please indicate in the Special Requests box that you prefer a smoking room. Confedent International cannot guarantee this request but will forward your request to the hotel.

Checking-in and -out

What are the check-in and check-out times?

Check-in: 15:00

Check-out: 12:00

I will be arriving earlier/later than the stated check-in time. Can I still check-in?

You can request an early/late check-in when making your reservation. Please note that the hotel cannot always accommodate this request. If the room is not available yet, the hotel will be happy to store your luggage.

If I want to check-out after the stated check-out time, what should I do?

A late check out must be arranged directly with the hotel upon arrival and usually depends on availability at the time of your stay. Please ask reception upon arrival. You may be required to pay an additional fee.

If I want to check-out prior to my booked check-out date?

If you notice this prior to your trip to Helsinki, please contact confedent.eaie19@confedent.fi and we can help you in cancelling the unnecessary night. Cancelling one or more nights is considered a cancellation and cancellation terms will be applied.

If you notice this when in Helsinki, please inform your hotel reception of your earlier check-out. The hotel has the right to charge all booked nights.

Prices

What is included in the listed rate?

Rates include breakfast and VAT.

Are the rates per person or per room?

All room rates are per room. Please make sure if you are booking a double room, that only one of the persons staying in the room books the room. Otherwise you will have two rooms booked.

Do I pay a reservation fee?

No, you do not have to pay a separate reservation or handling fee. You just pay for the room.

Cancellation policy and refunds

Can I cancel or change my reservation?

Yes, you can cancel or make changes to your booking but only by sending an e-mail to confedent.eaie19@confedent.fi Please remember that cancellation terms apply to all cancellations. 

If I cancel my booking, will I pay a cancellation fee?

Please see the cancellations terms available on the booking pages, or on your confirmation letter.

How do I know that my booking has been cancelled?

Once you have cancelled your reservation by e-mail to confedent.eaie19@confedent.fi, Confedent will  confirm your booking has been cancelled.
