Pre-conference/workshop registration for students and teachers - 21.09.2026

Please choose the following option if you wish to register for the pre-conference aimed for PhD students or the workshop for teachers on 21st September. After that please choose which programme you will participate in (teacher or student).

There is a participant limit of 50 on the teachers' workshop. More information will be updated on the conference website.

Social Programme

Dinner is complimentary for registered participants but we would ask you to kindly indicate your participation/interest below.

Dietary requirements

To ensure that you enjoy the catered functions held throughout the Conference, kindly advise any special diet requirements below.

You can add eg. food allergies by selecting "Other".

Please only enter dietary requirements that are essential for your health and wellbeing. 

Accommodation

Special rates have been negotiated with different hotels in Espoo for NordBatt 2026 Conference attendees and you can only get these rates shown here via this form and booking via Confedent International.

 

If you wish to book accommodation, please fill in your arrival and departure dates and click "Search", then make your selection from the choices given.

Should you not require accommodation, please select the "No accommodation required" option. 

When sharing a double room, indicate your roommates name in the "sharing" field to avoid any double bookings! Please note that if you and your roommate both book a room when registering, you will have two rooms.

The rates shown below are for your whole stay. However, to guarantee your hotel reservation, a deposit of one night's room rate only is required. Reservations without a paid deposit cannot be confirmed. The deposit will be deducted from the total hotel bill, that is to be settled at the hotel upon departure. If you are paying by bank transfer, kindly note that your reservation is guaranteed only after we have received the deposit payment. 

The hotel room rates include VAT and breakfast. Rooms are reserved on a first come - first served basis. For late bookings, availability cannot be guaranteed.

 

Should you need to change a booking already made, or if you need additional nights before or after the actual Conference days, kindly contact us at nordbatt2026@confedent.fi. Please do not contact the hotel directly regarding changes or additional nights.

Invoicing Address

The payment options are online credit card payment (Visa, Mastercard, Google Pay) or bank transfer. You will get a receipt after the payment is done by either method.

 

If you are paying by credit card you do not have to fill in the invoicing address unless you need that to be visible on the receipt.

NOTE! All payments need to be made before the conference. If you cannot pay the invoice by bank transfer prior to the conference, please pay by online payment type (card payment).

 

If you wish to pay by bank transfer, kindly fill in the invoicing address fields and your invoice reference (if needed). The invoice with payment details will be sent to your e-mail as a PDF document and EUR 19 invoicing fee will be added to the invoice. Note that an additional fee of EUR 19 will be charged for any changes to a sent invoice (e.g. invalid invoicing address or additional data not given below).

Participants with Finnish affiliation can request an e-invoice (verkkolasku) by giving their full e-invoicing information (OVT-tunnus, Y-tunnus & operaattori) in the invoicing address fields and the e-invoice will be sent electronically to the address provided.

If you have booked accommodation, please note that the total amount of your registration only includes one hotel night (the hotel reservation deposit). The remaining nights will be paid to the hotel directly upon check-in at the hotel.

Terms and Conditions
Cancellation terms for registrations and accommodation: *For cancellations made before or on July 07, 2026, full refund, deducted with an administration fee of EUR 50. *For cancellations made after July 07, 2026, no refunds will be made. 100% payment to be made if fees not paid at the time of cancellation. No-show is not considered a cancellation and there will be no refunds for no-shows. Denial of a visa application to Finland does not entitle a participant to any refunds. The conference organisers cannot accept liability for personal injuries sustained, for loss of, or damage to property belonging to participants (or their accompanying persons), either during or as a result of the Conference. The registration/accommodation fees do not include insurance of any kind so please check the validity and coverage of your own travel insurance. The organisers do not take responsibility for force majeure reasons for cancellation of the event (natural disaster, outbreak of severe contagious epidemic, major strikes etc.). In such a case, the organising committee reserves the right to decide about refunding of paid registration fees.

Payment

If you registered as a keynote speaker, sponsor or organiser without any fees to be paid, you can move on and submit the registration.

 

Bank transfer
If you choose to pay by bank transfer, we will email you a PDF invoice with bank details for the payment and the invoicing details you added on this form earlier. The PDF invoice will be sent to your e-mail address only. Invoicing fee (EUR 19) will be added to the total amount on the invoice to be paid.

 

Online credit card payment
To pay by credit card (Visa, Mastercard, Google Pay, no prepaid cards), please choose "Online credit card payment", "Proceed to Pay" and add the payment card details to the correct boxes that show up or login to your Google Pay account and do the payment. Connection is secure between the registration system and the payment service provider. After payment you can submit the form.

If you have trouble with paying by card, make sure your payment limit is high enough for the payment and international online payments are allowed to be done on the card. If your credit card payment fails, please contact your credit card issuer and check amount or international transaction limits applied to your card before trying again. If the payment is not successful, you can also contact us via email at nordbatt2026@confedent.fi, but the first contact with payment failures would be to contact the card issuer if the registration form is working as intended. 


NOTE! All payments need to be made before the conference. If you cannot pay the invoice by bank transfer prior to the conference, please pay by credit card.
